We do not seek or knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health information, government identification numbers, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religion, political opinions or sexual orientation. We will not use your personal information for a materially different purpose without your consent, unless permitted or required by law.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA we rely on your consent (express or implied) to collect, use and disclose personal information, except where the law permits us to do so without consent — for example, to investigate a breach of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:
-
Performance of a contract — to process and fulfill your order and administer your account.
-
Consent — for marketing communications and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
-
Legitimate interests — to secure the Site, prevent fraud, understand how the Site is used, and improve our products, balanced against your rights.
-
Legal obligation — to meet tax, customs, consumer protection and other legal requirements.

Non-essential cookies are used only where you consent. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner on the Site or through your browser settings. Full details, including a list of the cookies we use, are in our Cookie Policy at https://tracoptics.vision/cookie-policy.
6. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites, social media platforms and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
7. Data Retention

8. International Transfers and Storage
Our service providers, including Wix, Stripe, Google and Zonos, may store and process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States, Israel and the European Union. As a result, your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities of those jurisdictions under their laws.
Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use providers that offer a comparable level of protection and, where required, put in place appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
-
access the personal information we hold about you and be told how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed;
-
correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
-
withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice — this may mean we can no longer provide certain services;
-
request deletion of your personal information where we are not required to retain it;
-
opt out of marketing communications at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us;
-
request a copy of your information in a portable format, and, in the EEA/UK, object to or request restriction of certain processing;
-
if you are a California resident, exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — noting that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and will respond within the time required by applicable law (30 days under PIPEDA and BC PIPA in most cases). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. These include encryption of the Site in transit (TLS), access controls limiting employee access to what is needed, and reliance on established providers such as Wix and Stripe for hosting and payment processing.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a privacy breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below. Purchases require an account holder who is at least 18 years of age.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Our payment processor applies automated fraud screening to transactions, which may result in an order being declined; you can contact us to have such a decision reviewed.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site with a revised "Last updated" date and, where required by law, we will notify you directly and obtain your consent. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
